Excitement in the hood

This one probably needs an explanation...
So we're out working in the yard and there was a BIG explosion - like the big BOOM explosions at the end of the fireworks displays, except bigger.
We turned around to see stuff flying off of a pickup truck, which then burst into flames.
It was crazy.
The guy jumped out of the truck and ran around back and started grabbing stuff through the flames and throwing it out.
Our hose wouldn't reach, so the guy got back into the flaming truck and drove it up to the hose.
By the time the fire department got there, the flames were out.
